As a busy homeschooling mom, there are several items that make life easier (or more enjoyable at least!). Here’s a sampling of my very favorite products and things from last month. Perhaps some of the items on this list will become favorites of yours, too.

Tinkle Razors | These inexpensive tools are perfect for all that pesky peach fuzz that keeps your foundation or moisturizer from going on smoothly. Hear more about them in Episode 28 of the Creative Mama podcast.

Blue light-blocking glasses | I’ve been wearing these in the evening after the sun goes down to keep my eyes from absorbing too much screen light and messing with my sleep. Blocking the blue light is supposed to help keep our circadian rhythm more regular. So far, I’m noticing a difference after wearing them for just a few weeks!

Cuticle cream | As part of my nightly routine, I’ve been rubbing this yummy-smelling lemon butter balm on my cuticles to help keep my nails healthy. It’s a quick little thing to do while reading or watching my next favorite…

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | I’m probably late to the party on this one, but I’ve recently begun watching this Amazon Prime show, and it’s hilarious. The various characters, the snappy one-liners, the Yiddish vocabulary, not to mention the premise. Despite some coarse language and the occasional ‘romantic’ scene, it’s a fun show to watch after the kids are asleep.

Floral maxi dress | I’ve never really owned many dresses because as a mom of littles who lives in the country, they’ve always seemed a bit impractical to me. But as my kids have gotten older, they have stopped using me as a napkin as much, so it feels like a new season is beginning where I can have pretty things for the fun of it. So I’m branching out! This dress is so soft and comfortable and comes in dozens of color options. The medium is just long enough for my 5’9” frame. Also…POCKETS. This dress has pockets!

Duolingo | I loved learning other languages in high school, and as a homeschooling mama, I want my kids to have the same opportunity. Duolingo is an amazing website/app, whether you use the free version or the paid version (we’re currently just using the free version, and it’s VERY thorough!) My almost 9-year-old son and I are both working through the levels in Spanish and it’s SO fun. With several languages to choose from, there’s something for everyone.

Musical Multiplication | The Good and the Beautiful is one of my favorite curricula to use. They recently launched a set of songs with picture books to help kids memorize the times tables. I got these for my son, but his little sisters like them, too! Win-win!

It’s always fun to discover new items that add ease or enjoyment to life. Stay tuned for more of my favorite things in upcoming posts. In the meantime, leave a comment below telling me the things that make your life a little bit easier or more fun.
