Overview
This 12-page packet offers a brief introduction on perimeter and area followed by multiple pages of practice, allowing your student(s) to do as many pages as needed to solidify learning. If perimeter and area are new concepts, you may decide to print the anchor chart on the first page and post it for your student(s) to reference as needed.

Factors & Units
All figures are to scale and except in the case of squares, use the pairs for numerals 1-10 twice throughout this packet (i.e. 6 by 8 is represented as well as 8 by 6). This repetition will help reinforce the learning of any addition or multiplication facts that are more difficult for your student(s).

Units have been left undetermined and are up to your discretion based on other learning your student(s) may be doing, such as the metric system. I recommend selecting one unit type per worksheet to prevent confusion and allow for plenty of practice. For example, assign Page 2 and tell your student(s) each figure is measured in feet and the labels for their answers should bein either feet (perimeter) or square feet (area).
